The Sultan

A solitaire game for one player, played with a Double-Six domino set.  This game requires both luck and some skill to complete.

Play:

The dominoes are shuffled, facedown, and then all 28 tiles are placed facedown in a horizontal row to form the layout.  The player then turns all the tiles face-up keeping the same order in the layout and turning tiles face-up either top to bottom or flipping them horizontally but in the same manner consistently.

The player then discards two tiles at a time that are adjacent to one another and have horizontally matching ends.  This does not include tiles with matching vertical ends that don't match/touch horizontally.  Once a pair has been removed, the player moves all the tiles closer together to close the space made by the removed pair. Play continues, removing touching pairs of tiles with touching ends with the same suit.

Once all the tiles have been removed from the layout, the game is won.
